KARACHI, Dec 2: Two ships scheduled to load and offload containers and chemicals were allotted berths at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Four ships namely Contship Champion, Lu Hai, Chemstar King and Pearl of Fujayrah were busy in loading/unloading containers, general cargo, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 35,397 tons comprising 30,127 tons of import cargo and 5,270 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Chemstar King was due to depart. Spear-I was awaiting its berthing turn at the outer anchorage.

Two ships, Austria and Emblem with containers and edible oil were expected to arrive at the port on Wednesday.
