QUETTA, Nov 30: Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf said on Sunday that the Pakistan Muslim League was being reorganized in Balochistan so that it could play a more effective role for the solidarity and integrity of the country.

Speaking at a meeting of the party’s provincial and district office-bearers, he said the merger of different PML factions would strengthen the democratic institutions.

He said party conventions would be held at the district headquarters to take the workers into confidence on the organization matters. He said senior party workers had been included in the provincial organizing committee.

He reposed confidence in the leadership of PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and urged the workers to follow party discipline, maintain unity it their ranks and promote the politics of tolerance and mutual respect.

He said women would get representation in all the forums of the party and all the policies and important matters would be decided through consultation.

He asked the party workers to point out the problems of their areas so that the government could take steps to resolve those.

He said the government was making efforts to continue work on the development schemes despite financial constraints.

He said the provincial government would solve the problems confronted by the Quetta district government and the Zarghoon and Chiltan towns.
