OKARA: A couple was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Friday near Okara-Faisalabad Road in the jurisdiction of Gogera police.
Police said Syed Arab Ali with his wife, Sadia Bibi, visited village 33/GD to condole the death of friend Ahmad. When they were returning to Faisalabad in their car, two motorcyclists shot at Arab and his wife in a drive-by shooting, while the car driver remained unhurt.
The Gogera police impounded the car and took the bodies into custody for legal proceedings.
