THATTA, Dec 30: The Thatta Cultural Society has invited the attention of the Sindh Government, particularly the Ministry of Culture, to help an ailing vocalist, Ustad Hafiz Faiz Mohammed Baloch, who has been entertaining music lovers since the last many years.

Mr Baloch lost his sight in his youth after being infected by Small Pox.

He learnt classical music from Ustad Qudratullah Khan, who belongs to a Gwalior gharana. He become a master in Khayal, Durpat, Dhadhra, Tapo, and Thumri thus gaining reputation in the music world.

He has served his entire life for the promotion of music in the area.

Mr Baloch has been confined to bed ever since he was paralysed over a year ago.
