Larkana hotel reopened

LARKANA, Dec 30: A team headed by Sindh secretary, culture and tourism, Ashfaq Memon, is arriving here on Tuesday to witness the reopening of Sambara Inn hotel constructed in the days former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1973.

The managing director of STDC, Mohammed Ishaque Lashari, and former secretary, culture and tourism, Hamid Akhund, will be accompanied by the secretary, the official of Sambara Inn told Dawn on Sunday. The team is expected to announce a grant of Rs500,000 for the revival of this hotel.

Its face lift has been completed with the restoration of power supply and renovation of furniture and lawns.

The gas supply to the hotel would be restored soon for which the dues had been cleared, the hotel management said.
