Woman, son burnt to death by in-laws

FAISALABAD, Nov 29: A mother along with her son was burnt to death by her in-laws in Mehmoodabad, here on Saturday.

Farhat Naureen had an argument with her in-laws over a domestic issue. Her in-laws tortured and set her and her minor son Abid on fire by sprinkling kerosene. The mother and the son sustained serious burn injuries and died on their way to hospital.

Ishaq was facing serious financial problems. He was sole bread-winner for his family.

Police have sent the body to hospital for autopsy.

SHOT DEAD: A boy shot dead the alleged killer of his grand-father in Chak 214-RB in the Saddar police station area, here on Saturday.

Imran opened fire on Dolat Khan when he was sitting outside his house in Chak 214-RB. Dolat Khan sustained serious bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Police claimed that accused had suspicion that the deceased was involved in the murder of his grand-father.

Police have registered a case against accused Imran who is at large.
