KARACHI, Nov 29: The arrest of Allama Syed Sajid Naqvi and others on the basis of a “misleading FIR has created an unrest among the people”.

This was stated by Shia leaders representing Haiat Aima Masajid Imamia Karachi who criticized the arrest and demanded immediate release of arrested Shia leaders.

The HAMI leaders, Maulana Syed Akram Hussain Tirmizi, Allama Syed Qanmber Abbas Naqvi and Maulana Hussain Masood, were speaking at a press conference. They said that Allama Sajid Naqvi was the chief of a registered political party which had taken part in the election from the platform of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.

Expressing solidarity with Allama Sajid Naqvi, they urged the rulers to expose the real killers and take cognizance of those raising slogans of revenge and issuing Fatwas.
