LAHORE: The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) is organising a five-day training for 150 principals of public colleges of the province.
According to PHEC, the training, the first phase of the programme, will be held on Tuesday (today) at the University of Health Sciences. During the full training programme, some 690 principals will get training.
The first training involves principals from the institutions of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nanakana Sahib, Okara and Kasur.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Zakia Shahnawaz will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. PHEC chairman Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin and Higher Education Department Secretary Irfan Ali will jointly chair the inauguration ceremony.
AWARD: Usman Khan, former student of Punjab University Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) and Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, has been awarded with “Queen’s Young Leaders Award 2016” by Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace London.
