ISLAMABAD, Nov 24: Preparations for the SAF Games which Islamabad is due to host in March, will begin in earnest in December, officials said on Monday.

The organising committee plans to hold a series of events as part of the relaunching of the Games that were handed back to Islamabad in September by the South Asian Sports Federation (SASF).

Officials of the various departments for the Games have either returned or are in the process of coming back to start work again. Almost all of them had left after the event was called off in March.

The Games slated for March 29 to April 7, have had to be postponed three times since October 2001.
