LAHORE, Nov 24: Former PML-Q information secretary Begum Abida Husain says as a mother she is happy on the induction of her daughter, Sughra Imam, into the Punjab cabinet.

However, she told newsmen on Monday that she or her husband, Fakhr Imam, would “not” change their political thinking.

Begum Abida said it would “not be dignified” for her to be vocal for some time. She said Sughra’s induction into the cabinet was the recognition of the dedication and commitment with which she served her constituency and the district.

She said she continued to feel concerned about the non-constitutional form of government that was in place even a year after the elections. “I feel that Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s only achievement is that he continues to be the prime minister.”
