LAHORE, Nov 24: Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has asked the newly inducted provincial ministers to formulate concrete proposals for the welfare-oriented projects for the masses.

Speaking to the new ministers, he said his government had been pursuing a policy of enforcing merit and adhering to laws and rules during its one year in power, and he expected them to follow the same policy.

The government, he said, had given effective representation to women and minorities in the cabinet. It was for the first time that a minority minister was taken in the Punjab cabinet, he added.

The CM said his government had not issued even a single ordinance during the last one year.
