Rs3.3m worth cigarettes looted

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 24: A cigarette consignment worth Rs3.3 million was taken away on Monday by eight armed highwaymen on the GT Road near Muridke.

A truck laden with cigarettes was going to Multan from Jhelum when it was intercepted by robbers. They tied the crew with a rope and threw them in nearby fields. The robbers then shifted the cigarette consignment to their truck and drove away with it.
