HYDERABAD, Nov 24: The All Pakistan Akhbar Faroosh Federation, central president, Syed Afzal Ahmed Shah and secretary general, Tikka Khan have demanded that the Sindh government should announce compensation for heirs of Shaikh Fakir Mohammad, the brother of central joint secretary of the federation, Shaikh Umeruddin, who was killed in a traffic accident in Karachi.

In a statement on Monday, they also demanded punishment to the truck driver as Fakir Mohammad had died due to driver’s negligence.

Meanwhile, speaking at an Iftar party hosted by two newspaper agents here on Friday, Mr Shah called on the authorities to resolve the problems of newspaper hawkers.

The party was attended by newspaper agents and hawkers.
