POA meeting

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23: The executive committee of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) that is due to meet in Lahore on Dec 8 will discuss among other matters, participation in next year’s Athens Olympics.

The meeting will also discuss matters relating to the 9th SAF Games which Islamabad hosts in March besides reviewing progress for holding of the 29th National Games in Quetta in 2004.

Other items on the agenda include considering the affairs of some of the national federations not meeting the constitutional requirements of the POA and staging of the Inter-Provincial Games.

The POA executive committee had last met in August 2001.
