HARIPUR, Nov 23: Naib nazims of different union councils of the Haripur district on Sunday threatened to launch a protest campaign against the district coordination officer and the district Nazim after Eid, accusing them of meddling in the Haripur tehsil council’s affairs.

They also hinted at setting up a hunger strike camp in front of the Governor’s House in Peshawar to protest against what they said the negative attitude of the DCO and district Nazim.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, union council Naib Nazims Malik Mohammad Hanif, Hakim Mohammad Ibrar, Hakim Khan, Syed Ehsan Shah and Dildar Khan said that the negative role of district Nazim Dr Raja Amer Zaman and DCO Jehanzeb Khan would affect the pace of the ongoing development projects.
