KOHAT, Nov 23: A woman was killed and 17 others, mostly students, were injured in a collision between a college bus and a coaster on the Indus Highway near Muslimabad on Saturday.
The bus of Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, taking students to their home cities on Eid vacations collided head-on with a passenger coaster. As a result, a woman died on the spot and 17 others were injured, four of them critically.
The rescue 15 police squad immediately reached the scene of accident.
The body and the injured were taken to the Liaquat Memorial Hospital.
DRUGS SEIZED: The anti-narcotics force, Kohat, seized 9kg of hashish and 10kg of opium and arrested two women smugglers near the Kohat tunnel on Saturday.
An ANF patrolling party during checking of a Rawalpindi- bound coaster recovered the drugs and arrested two women. The drugs were being smuggled from Darra Adamkhel to Punjab.
A case was registered under the Narcotics Act.
