Magnificent Shahid blitz Dolphins

KARACHI, Nov 22: Shahid Afridi hit a blistering 91 out out 207 for eight wickets to power Griqua Diamonds to a convincing 33 runs victory in South Africa’s premier one-day cup match against Dolphins in a day and night match, according to a message received here.

Shahid was severe on Dolphins attack that included South African Shaun Pollock, Lance Klusener and West Indian paceman Nixon McLean.

His outstanding innings contained three massive sixes and eight fours.

Later Shahid chipped in two wickets for 25 runs in 7.1 overs as Dolphins were bowled out for 174.

Shahid dropped by Pakistan after the World Cup has signed for Griqua Diamonds for the 2003-4 season.Summarized scores: Griqua Diamonds 207 for eight wickets (Shahid Afridi 91) Dolphins 174.
