KARACHI, Nov 22: Shakeel Anwar and Haris Jawed bowled Hill Park into the final of the Eighth Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket league after beating Bilal Friends by 71 runs at the Hill Park ground on Saturday.

Winning the toss and electing to have first use of the home wicket, Hill Park CC raced to 221 for the loss of seven wickets in the 20 overs through Mohammad Khursheed (63 n.o.), Haris Jawed (43), Abdul Rehman (33) and Zafar Iqbal (27). Left-arm spinner Azeem Mustafa bagged three for 52 and Mir Azam two for 19, for the fielding side.

Set to get 222 runs for victory, Bilal Friends never in the hunt for victory, after losing their first three with only 48 runs on the board, were restricted to 150 for nine in their 20 overs.

Shakeel picked up three wickets for 19 runs and Haris Jawed had figures for two for 21.

The final will be played on Tuesday Nov 25 at the KGA ground at 1.00 p.m.
