KARACHI: Family members and relatives of a seven-year-old girl, kidnapped last month in Qazi Ahmed, held a protest demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club on Friday, demanding recovery of the child.

They said Naheeda Jatoi was kidnapped in Qazi Ahmed on April 13 by gunmen riding a motorbike while she was playing near her home. They accused the police and local administration of not cooperating with the family for her recovery despite registration of a complaint.

The protesters demanded that the Sindh chief minister and inspector general of police take notice of the crime in the poor neighborhood as hopes of Naheeda’s recovery were fading away with each passing day.
