KARACHI, Nov 19: Candidates with a percentage of 34.77 will be eligible for admission to B.S. (CS/SE) at the Department of Computer Science, University of Karachi, against the donors’ seats.

This was announced by Chairman of the Department, Dr Nasir Tauheed, on Wednesday. He stated that the percentage of 34.77 had been determined by applying a special formula.

The candidates desirous of seeking admission have been asked to submit the donors seat form and fee collection voucher available at the department on November 19 and 20. The forms have to be deposited at the UBL KU branch with a sum of Rs300. Interviews will be conducted on December 6 from 10am to 12 noon, it was further stated.

Those who have already secured admission in the evening programme can also apply for admission against the donors’ seats in the morning session.

DIPLOMA IN STATISTICS: The process of admission to Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics (PGD) will start from Dec 1 with the issuance of admission forms from the Department of Statistics.

The last date for submission of preliminary forms is Dec 20.

According to Chairman of the Department, Dr Junaid Siddiqui, admissions will be granted to all those who have passed graduate-level courses on merit and the list of successful candidates would be displayed on Dec 23.

Fee collection and completion of other admission formalities will be completed from Dec 24 to 30 and classes will start with effect from January 1.—APP\PPI
