RAWALPINDI, Nov 18: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali called on President Gen Pervez Musharraf at the Army House here on Tuesday to review the country’s political situation, a source said.

According to the source, the prime minister went to the President’s camp office at about noon and stayed with him for more than one-and-a-half hour.

The two leaders reviewed the ongoing political and law and order situation in the country, specially after the ban on three religious outfits on Saturday last, the source said, and added that it was an unscheduled meeting between the two leaders.

It was also the third meeting between the two leaders in one week.

Officials of both the president’s and prime minister’s secretariats did not confirm the meeting.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the spokesman for the government, was not available for comments.
