Four-day holiday on Eid

KARACHI, Nov 18: The federal government has declared four public holidays on account of Eidul Fitr from Nov 26 to 29, (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

The State Bank of Pakistan pursuing the government decision has announced that the SBP and all schedule banks will remain closed from Nov 26 to 29, on account of Eid holidays.

However, the central bank has also directed all scheduled banks to ensure payment of salaries to their employees by Nov 20, 2003.

In view of the announcement, the government employees would be able to avail a five days holiday including Sunday being a weekly holiday.
