ISLAMABAD: A District Polio Control Room was established in the Federal Capital from where polio teams will be monitored in real time and given directions.

The control room was inaugurated by the Minister of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday.

After the inauguration, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider gave a detailed briefing about the control room, which was established at the Commissioner Office, and said that officials of different departments in the health sector will be able to coordinate with polio teams through the control room.

“Because of the control room, it has become possible to coordinate with the Rawalpindi Administration and share data to make polio campaigns more effective in the twin cities”, he said.
