KARACHI, Nov 17: Five vessels carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was light owing to delayed arrivals. As a result, only two ships, Kota Permas and Bow Wallaby were berthed to unload and load containers and chemicals after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Corin Thaikos and Dubai Guardian, while Johar, Bow Vallaby, PAC Aries, Torge-S and Dong He are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 58,278 tons comprising 2,650 tons of export cargo and 55,628 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oriental Bright, Bunga Terasak, APL Portugal and Al-Wajba, with containers and Digi, with 13,400 tons of sugar for Afghanistan.
