KARACHI, Nov 16: Bandits either hijacked or stole 123 vehicles — 30 cars and 93 motorcycles— during the past one week in various parts of the metropolis.

According to the police statistics, 14 cars were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 16 others were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, Saddar, etc.

Forty-four motorcycles were hijacked and 49 stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

The police also claimed to have recovered 27 stolen cars and 40 motorcycles during the past one week.
