SAHIWAL, Nov 15: The Anti-Corruption Establishment, Sahiwal circle, registered a case against six men, including four revenue officials, on the charge of depriving a women of her agricultural land by fraudulent means.
Ms Noor Elahi of Dadra Bala village (Harappa) lodged a complaint with ACE’s Multan director alleging that Siddiq and Anwar got her 5 acres fraudulently transferred in their names with the connivance of tehsildar Sarwar (presently posted at Lodhran), patwaris Idrees, Sardar Muhammad and Aish Muhammad.
The accused were found guilty of the charge in an inquiry ordered by ACE director.
A case was registered against the accused.
ADULT LITERACY: As many as 150 adults education centres will be opened in each district of the Punjab at a cost of Rs160.00 million.
This was stated by Punjab Minister for Literacy Syed Husain Jahanian Gardezi said on Friday. He was speaking at an iftar dinner at Langrial farm near Chichawatni.
The minister said that the monthly honorarium of the teachers of non-formal basic education centres would be increased from Rs1,000 to Rs2,000 after approval the of the federal government.
Regarding law and order situation, the minister claimed that the government was discharging its obligations in this regard.
