KARACHI: An antiterrorism court sentenced on Thursday a man to a collective sentence of 21 years in jail in explosives and illicit weapons cases.

Zafar, alias Supari, said to be a political worker, was found guilty of carrying hand grenades and unlicensed weapons in Shah Faisal Colony last year.

ATC-VI Judge Abdul Naeem Memon, who conducted the trial inside the central prison, handed down 14 years in explosives and seven years in illicit weapons cases. However, both sentences would run concurrently.
