Halani town without power for three days

KHAIRPUR, Oct 12: The power supply to half of Halani town was cut off three days ago as the transformer developed a fault.

The citizens had even paid Rs10,000 to Hesco officials on a self-help basis for repairing the transformer. However, it was not repaired.

They have announced to hold protest demonstration if the transformer was not repaired immediately.

FIVE INJURED: A pickup rammed into a bike as a result of which five people — Gul Hassan Mohiyal, Piyaro Jagirani, Malhar Ujjan, Umain, and Nazal — were injured near Pir jo Goth in Kingri Taluka on Thursday.

All the injured have been admitted at a local hospital.

SUICIDE: A man, Chanesar Ali (22), committed suicide by taking poison in Jadal Bhatti village, near Fakirabad, on late Thursday night.
