KARACHI, Nov 12: Country’s four top stars will be featuring in a round-robin league snooker tournament which break-off at Prime Studio Nursery on Thursday at 8.00 p.m.
The event carries prize money of Rs 75,000. The winner of the tournament will get Rs 35,000, runner-up Rs 20,000 and third and fourth finishers Rs 10,000 each.
Saleh Muhammad will be seen in action for the first time after finishing runner-up in World Amateur Snooker Championship held in Jiangmen City (China) on Oct 25.
Pakistan’s number one Khurram Hussain Agha, Saleh, Naveen Perwani and number four and former World and Asian champion Muhammad Yousuf will be pitted against each other in the event.
Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) are holding the event in preparations for the forthcoming three-Test match snooker series between Pakistan and India.
Secretary PBSA Aspi Mavalwala said that matches will be of two frames and in all six matches will be played and winner will be determined after league matches.
He declared this will be the toughest-ever and unique kind of event to be held in history of Pakistan snooker.—APP
