RAWALPINDI, Nov 11: An accountability court here on Tuesday allowed Asif Ali Zardari to spend Eid holidays with his children here at the sub-jail in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).

Mr Zardari, through an application, had prayed before the judge of Accountability Court No 3, Aslam Khan, that his family members, including his two children, sister and father should be allowed to spend Eid holidays with him. The same court also adjourned the hearing of the BMW case against Mr Zardari till January 12, 2004.

Meanwhile, the judge of Accountability Court No: 2, Ghulam Hussain Awan, accepted the application of Mr Zardari in the ARY reference for hearing. The court also summoned the officials concerned of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the next date of hearing i.e; December 13. Mr Zardari’s counsel, Dr Babar Awan, had contended before the court that as the prosecution had failed to bring any evidence against his client in the ARY case, therefore, his client should be acquitted immediately.
