ISLAMABAD: While strongly condemning the 'brutality of Indian forces in India-held Kashmir', Pakistan said on Thursday that it has not changed its principled stance on Kashmir issue and would continue to raise the issue at every fora.
"Whenever there are talks between India and Pakistan, Kashmir's issue would remain on agenda," Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Nafees Zakaria told the weekly news briefing. "Pakistan strongly condemns human rights violations in IHK."
Zakaria said that incidents such as the anti-Pakistan campaign on the eve of Pakistan cricket team's visit to India are counter-productive to efforts aimed at reducing tensions.

"Sports and other functions, including arts and cultural events, help in promoting people to people contacts between the two countries", the spokesman said.
Responding to a question Zakaria said, "Indian high commission and its consulates are independent in granting visas to Pakistan and if there are refusals then the FO would take it up with Indian government."

The spokesman said Pakistan has joined the 34-state Islamic military coalition to fight terrorism and extremism which poses danger to the Muslim world's peace.

What matters is not what is Pakistan's position. But the position of world powers matters. And the World powers have changed their position to that of India's position.

if you look at US and UN they are still standing on the 13 resolutions still pending to be implemented from india's side.
This is one of the big reasons why india could not achieve Permanent Membership of UN Security Council

Last I checked Jammu & Kashmir was still appearing as a disputed territory in all the maps, fora and world bodies including the UN. Just browse google maps and you will come into terms with reality.

Reality is that as Pakistan has not changed her view on Kashmir so has India.
But the change has been supported to Indian position.Can you name just 3 countries who have a say and they support Pakistan point of view.

@Bilal Why should we need anybodies support.India itself is enough as 1.3 billion soul are proud & believe in its democratic infrastructure. Our constitution gives rights to all faiths &muslims be it in kasmir, delhi, mumbai or any parts in India are proud of it.

J&k was is and will be integral part of india. Regarding permanenr membership in UN, india has bigger Obstacles like GDP, Poverty, Literacy, Women Empowerment etc =. Once those Obstacles removed , then india will become super power and UN membership will automatically comes with it..

Hold plebiscite in AJK and the Northern areas and see how this issue becomes alive internationally. Keep the 60 years old policy will just keep the issue stagnant

Kashmir issue has nothing to do with permanent membership. Seems like only Pakistan is against it, then again more than 75% of world's countries including all the P5 support India's candidacy.

@asgher UN resolution is still a non binding resolution and if you look at UN history then thousand of such non binding resolution has been passed with no takers.
Only UN binding resolutions are taken seriously.

As Pakistan's stand is a principled one, she should give strong and unambiguous statements and more frequently. Pakistan should raise this issue at EVERY possible international forum. Sooner or later the world will have to realize that a people can not remain subjugated forever. Let India do whatever it wants. Pakistan should continue her moral and political support to Kashmiris.

What is there to change in the position. India invaded and occupied kashmir, Pakistan liberated half of it, UN said do plebiscite, Pakistan said ok, india kills kashmiris, kashmiris fly pakistani flags, India sticks its head in sand and deceives its own public about the truth. Plebiscite inevitable, nothing changed.
