LAHORE: A two-member delegation of the federal government left for Vatican here on Tuesday to extend invitation to Pope Francis for a visit to Pakistan.

Federal Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yusuf and Ports & Shipping Minister Kamran Michael are carrying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s invitation for the visit by the end of year.

Talking to media at the airport, the minister said the issue of Pakistani migrants stranded in various European countries would also be taken up before the highest Catholic priest.
