MIRPURKHAS, Nov 10: A villager, A. Bux Areesar, resident of Saddar, Umerkot Taluka, has appealed to the Sindh governor, chief justice of the Sindh High Court, IG police (Sindh), district and sessions judge (Mirpurkhas), DPO (Mirpurkhas), and Sindh ombudsman to ensure imm-

ediate recovery of his married sister, who has been abducted, and ensure the arrest of the culprits.

He said that the SHO, Umerkot police station, should also be punished for keeping him and his father in illegal confinement.

Talking to newsmen on Saturday, he said that on Oct 22, 10 Aresar tribesmen — Lakhmir, Murad, Haji, Hidayatullah, Ashraf, Ali Sher, Abdullah, Imdad Ali, Ramzan and Mir Hassan — barged into his house with sophisticated weapons and kidnapped his sister, Marvi, and escaped.

He said that the Umerkot police instead of registering a case detained him and his father, Ghulam Rasool, in Diplo.

He said that later he was implicated in a false case under sections 107 and 151 on the behest of influen-tial people, whereas his father remained in illegal detention for seven days before he was charge-sheeted and released on bail.

He alleged that the culprits were roaming about with complete impunity and police did not register kidnapping case of his sister.
