KARACHI: Illegal construction

Published November 11, 2003

KARACHI, Nov 10: Residents of Orangi Town’s sectors 14-B and 14-C (Bilal Colony, UC-8) have demanded of the city Nazim to direct the concerned department to stop the illegal construction on a 40-feet-wide road, which serves as a link road between both sectors.

In a letter addressed to the city Nazim, residents drew his attention towards an illegal wall being constructed on a 40-feet-wide road by the management of Faran High School.

Residents have sent a similar letter to Orangi Town Nazim Shahid Alam, requesting him to get the wall construction stopped.

“With the wall construction over 5,000 residents of Orangi Town’s sectors 14-B and 14-C will be deprived of a street that serves as a link road between both the sectors,” they added.

They also provided with a plan approved by defunct KMC wherein the area has been shown as 40-feet-wide road.
