QUETTA, Nov 9: Balochistan’s Senior Minister Maulana Abdul Wasay has said that the MMA and Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf have finalized their deliberations to induct 13 new ministers and both coalition partners would have equal share in the expansion of the provincial cabinet.

Talking to Dawn here on Sunday the MMA parliamentary leader who holds planning and development portfolio stated that he and the chief minister have reached the understanding to expand the cabinet in accordance with the agreement reached between the MMA and the PML leadership at the time of the formation of government.

Replying to a question the senior minister clarified that there were no differences between the MMA and chief minister Jam Yousuf over the expansion of the cabinet, however, some matters related to the issue were to be finalized and that have been handled amicably.

Maulana Wasay further said that 13 ministers would take their oaths in next few days that include six each from the MMA and the PML wherein remaining one would go to the quota of the PML due to resignation tendered by the former Balochistan home minister Sardar Sanaullah Zehri.

Responding to another question regarding the delay in tabling the Sharait Bill in the assembly, the senior minister observed that the said bill would be finalized by the provincial committee of the MMA which would meet after Eidul Fitr.

He said that the Shariat Bill has been prepared by the Shariat Council and the provincial leadership of the MMA would only review it before presenting to the cabinet for passing on for approval to the Balochistan assembly.
