KARACHI, Nov 9: Federal communication minister, Senator Ahmed Ali, on Saturday reviewed the working of various departments under his ministry and discussed various problems.

In this regard he held a meeting at his office in the PNSC building which was attended, among others, by director general ports and shipping and heads of organizations like the Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim, Gwadar Port and PNSC.

According to a press release, the minister sorted out the problems and issued directives to the heads of various departments.

Senator Ahmed Ali told the meeting that the resignation tendered by him had been turned down by the prime minister and he had been asked to continue his office. “We are the party workers and never go against the party discipline,” he said.—APP
