Tree plantation

HYDERABAD, Nov 8: Community development EDO has said that the district government is preparing a ten-year programme to raise green belts specially with aesthetic plantation across the city.

The EDO, Mohammad Ibrahim Qureshi, said this while speaking at a tree plantation ceremony organized by the Young Social Welfare Association at the Government Girls High School here on Friday.

He said the district government was also preparing two other schemes, one for raising network of linear plantation along roadside strips and the other for establishment of forest nurseries in the district.

Mr Qureshi said fruit plants were being encouraged for direct and indirect benefit to the people and to give incentives to them. — Bureau Report
