HYDERABAD, Nov 8: The deputy director, food, Hyderabad region, has dispelled the allegations that substandard wheat is being supplied to small scale flour mills of the district.

Speaking at a news conference at his office here on Saturday, the deputy director, Fida Hussain, gave an assurance that fungus-free wheat would be supplied to the flour mills.

He admitted that initially substandard wheat was supplied to the flour mills and but now only quality wheat was being supplied.

Answering a question, he said the owners of the flour mills in Hyderabad had been supplied with 19,000 bags of wheat in the first week of November.
