LAHORE, Nov 8: Junior Pump Operators of the Water and Sanitation Agency of the Lahore Development Authority have demanded payment of November salary in advance before Eidul Fitr.
A spokesman for the JPOs said that Wasa had decided to pay the November salary in advance to its regualr employees only. The demand of the JPOs for advance salary had been turned down because they were workcharged employees.
The spokesman said that the JPOs deserved to be paid November salary in advance because they were being only Rs2,800 per month in lumpsum could not save any money for celebrating the Eid from their meagre income. —Reporter
