3 women among four killed in accident

KASUR, Dec 28: Four people, including three women, were killed while over a dozen others sustained serious wounds in an accident near Jambar village on the Multan Road.

A speeding truck (3662-LXX) was going to Pattoki from Lahore when it rammed into a wagon (3098-LHP) coming from the opposite side. Wagon driver Muhammad Shafi, Shamshad Bibi, Mumtaz Bibi, and Amna Bibi died on the spot while more than 12 others got critical injuries. They were admitted to different hospitals.

THREE KILLED: Three persons died from cold weather on Friday in and around the city.

Those became victims are Khair Din of Kot Radha Kishan, an unidentified beggar of Piruwala Road and an unidentified addict of Pattoki.

SHOT DEAD: A security guard was shot dead on Friday by three unidentified dacoits on resistance on the Raiwind Manga Road.

Armed dacoits were detected by watchman Muhammad Hanif when they entered into a knitwear mills. The intruders shot him dead when the watchman raised an alarm. Later, they escaped from the scene.

Police have registered a case.

BUS LOOTED: Six highwaymen on Friday deprived passengers of a bus of cash, ornaments and valuables worth Rs100,000 near Jabo Mail bridge.

Police are looking into the matter.
