JACOBABAD, Nov 6: A gang of bandits kidnapped three men in the Abdul Khaliq Khoso village near Manjhipur, Karim Bux police station jurisdiction, Thul taluka, here on Wednesday night.

Dr Rewachand, Mohammad Khan Jamali and Mohammad Bux Sundrani were going in a tractor when the outlaws travelling in a pickup intercepted and kidnapped them, also taking away the tractor.

Later, the same gang took away Mohammad Ramzan Mangi, Mohammad Sharif Bugti and Mohammad Bux Bugti, who were on their way to the Sobdar Khoso village on foot.

However, the bandits freed Mohammad Ramzan, Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Bux in a deserted place with a ransom note for the release of the remaining hostages. They also left the tractor there.

After the incident, residents of Manjhipur and Sohbatpur took out a procession and tried to proceed to the prime minister’s native town, Rojhan Jamali, but they were stopped by the police.

They later observed a token hunger strike in Manjhipur. A shutter-down strike was also observed in the area.
