KARACHI: Ibad stresses price control

KARACHI, Nov 5: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, on Wednesday, impressed upon Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Mahar to make proper arrangements for keeping the prices of eatables under control.

In a letter sent to the chief minister, the governor stated that Ramazan had its sanctity, but, unfortunately it had been observed that traders and hoarders were making money by increasing the prices of eatables while common man was facing great hardships on this account in Karachi.

The copies of the letter have also been sent to ministers, advisers, all the MNAs, MPAs of Sindh, chief secretary, Nazim Karachi, IGP, CCPO, DCO and others for supplementing government efforts to control the prices. —PPI
