LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that findings of the Pathankot airbase attack inquiries will be made public in a couple of days.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said military and civil agencies were working on the leads provided by India and a report would be compiled and shared with the media in a couple of days. He refused to speak further on the issue.

Rana Sanaullah regretted that facts about the cases – gang-rape of a teenage girl, cutting of hands of a labourer by a landlord, murder of a pregnant woman in a robbery incident and sewing of lips of a so-called victim of extortionists – had been grossly overlooked by the electronic media.

The stories were aired without confirming details with the authorities concerned, he said, adding that such reporting presented a negative image of the country to the world and did not serve the cause of justice.

Punjab IG Mushtaq Sukhera and investigation officers shared with journalists findings of the four cases.
