Two held after encounter

TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 4: Two alleged robbers were arrested by police after an encounter on Monday night near Pacca Anna railway station.

Police had received information that the robbers were looting passersby on Dawakhri-Pacca Anna road. A police team comprising Gojra Sadar and Dawakhri staff reached the place. The robbers took refuge in sugarcane fields near Chak 91 JB on seeing police. They opened fire on police which returned the compliment. Both the men surrendered after an exchange of fire.
