KARACHI: Three people were injured as a chocked sewerage line exploded in Nazimabad area of Karachi on Thursday, causing panic among the people of the area.

The explosion which looked like a small bomb blast took place near Rangers check-post near Matric Board office.

Bomb Disposal Squad official, Abid Farooq told media that a wash room annexed to Rangers’ check post was built over sewerage line which caused severe chocking of the pipeline and led to the explosion

The injured were identified as Dr. Maqsood, 30, Malikzada, 30, and Mohammed Rafiq, 32. All three were admitted in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where the doctors termed their condition out of danger.

The wall of the Rangers’ wash room was also damaged in the explosion.
