HYDERABAD, Nov 4: Residents of Goth Jam Suleman, Goth Mallah and Goth Safar Khan Khaskheli have accused the Petaro Cadet College administration of violating a 2002 order of the Senior Civil Court, Kotri, by raising a boundary wall around Goth Jam Suleman and half of Goth Mallah.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Tuesday, Ghulam Hussain Thebo, Jam Tamachi Samo and Ghulam Nabi Samo said a dispute was going on between the residents and the college administration over the possession of land and cases were pending in the court of law.

They said notwithstanding the fact the matter was sub judice, the college administration had installed a gate at the villages and deployed armed personnel there.

They said they had sent telegrams to higher authorities but to no avail.

They said the court concerned had issued orders on Nov 1, directing the Mukhtiarkar of Kotri to inspect the area and submit a report.

The residents said they were living in the villages for the last 50 years but they were now being threatened with ejection.

They said the college administration had illegally taken over the possession of 1,500 acres.

They demanded that an impartial officer should be appointed to initiate an inquiry into the matter and the college administration be tried for contempt of court.
