KARACHI: Pakistan’s girls finished third in the Asian Junior Girls & Boys Throwball Championship held at Salang Seloar in Kuala Lumpur.

Pakistan lost 2-0 to India in the semi-final but came back strongly in the third position playoff against Malaysia to win 2-1. India beat Sri Lanka 2-0 in the final.

Asian Throwball Federation general secretary T. Rammana was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and disturbed the trophies.

He also announced that the Asian Men’s & Women’s Throwball Championship will be held in Kuala Lumpur from March 20-25 next year.

Results:

Boys:

Semi-finals: Sri Lanka bt Malaysia 2-0; India bt Bangaladesh 2-0.

Third position match: Malaysia bt Bangaladesh 2-0.

Final: India bt Sri Lanka 2-0.

Girls:

Semi-finals: India bt Pakistan 2-0; Sri Lanka bt Malaysia 2-0.

Third position match: Pakistan bt Malaysia 2-1.

Final: India bt Sri Lanka 2-0.
