HYDERABAD, Nov 2: The Government Secondary Teachers Association has condemned the transfer of the Government High School Society headmaster without any reason.

The meeting was held at the school here on Saturday and presided over by district president of the association, Mohammad Safar Memon.

The meeting termed the transfer of the headmaster as an open interference by the education minister in the educational institutions.

It observed that only crime of the headmaster was that he had expelled some unscrupulous elements from the school premises in order to save the institution.

It pointed out that a portion of the school, which was constructed at a cost of tens of thousands of rupees, had remained under illegal occupation for the last many years.

The meeting alleged that the place had become a centre of criminal activities and added that these criminals were supported by some influential people of the area headed by Nazim union council No9.

It recalled that a few weeks ago, the UC Nazim had manhandled the headmaster in his office leading to a protest by hundreds of students and teachers of the school and the issuance of a show- cause notice by the district Naib Nazim to the UC Nazim.

It warned that if the transfer order of the headmaster was not withdrawn, the scope of protest would be enlarged to the district. The headmaster has been personally transferred by the Sindh education minister without assigning any reason through a letter addressed to the EDO, education.
