LAHORE, Nov 1: Four-year-old bay colt, Tora Bora, who let down his connections on his previous outing, will be targeting the feature event to make amends during the Lahore Winter Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Tora Bora will be vying in a big field of 14 runners in the Havelian Plate, a class IV division I and II combined handicap race, the seventh in a card of eight races.

After completing a fine hat-trick of victories on Sept 28, Tora Bora ran dismally to finish third behind Ponchi and Naseeb in a race of class IV over 1400m on Oct 19 last.

The race was run on a faster pace and Tora Bora lost stamina in the final 100m, perhaps being short of work.

Since then Tora Bora has been tracking good and the connections are pinning their hopes on him to prove worth a horse on the upgrade and win the race over 1600m.

His closest rivals should be Amazing, Royal Soul and Kargil Tiger.

Three-year-old bay colt Flood Of Gold, who really proved his worth in gold by storming home to a maiden victory last Sunday, will be going all out to make it two in-a-row in the supporting and 8th race, the Burewala Plate, class V division I and II combined.

Flood Of Gold should be followed by Beena Roy Baby, Glorious Song and Puma King.

The Rawalpindi Plate, a nursery term race for two-year-old halfbred colts and fillies to be contested over the sprinting distance of 800m seems an open affair. All are maidens.

Of the eight contestants three are on chance on track work.

They are Legend, D.J Doll and Puma Princess. The results of such events are generally unpredictable because there is no guarantee they will perform according to their track work.

Legend, a son of Prince Legent out-of Miss Ginza should have the better of others.

Roxanne, Weldon Shogun, Thank You Boss and Much Pleasure are the pick of the dozen acceptors for the fifth race to have gone over 1000m. They are good sprinters to fight it out.

There are 14 contenders in the fourth race. This event is packed with good sprinters and should be an interesting race to watch. The first race will be held at 12 noon.
