COMPENSATION: The political administration has announced to start distributing compensation amount among the earthquake victims from next week.

Talking to a delegation of tribal elders of Salarzai tehsil here the other day, Political Agent Mohammad Yahya Akhunzada said distribution of compensation among the victims was likely to start next week as a survey of the damaged houses was in final stages.

He said the administration was in contact with the federal government and officials concerned for early provision of compensation to the victims of quake-hit areas. He hoped that the distribution of compensation would minimise the miseries of the people.

Mr Akhunzada assured the delegation that the administration was keen on providing sufficient food, shelter and other needs of life to the affected areas.
